Frysk-Witlof officially joined as a member of cooperative The Greenery

"Stronger together in the European chicory market"

On 1 January 2025, Frysk-Witlof officially joined the cooperative The Greenery as a member. Through this collaboration, both parties strengthen their market position and join forces to promote chicory more broadly, both nationally and internationally. Frysk-Witlof, based in Sexbierum, specializes in the cultivation and processing of chicory. Known for its focus on quality and innovation, the company sees The Greenery as the right partner to further expand its sales.

"We were looking for a partner that not only has a broad network but also understands what makes our cultivation unique," says Dennis Blankendaal, owner of Frysk-Witlof. "The Greenery has a strong sales organization and short lines of communication with both growers and customers. That was the decisive factor for us in joining the cooperative."

On behalf of The Greenery, René Swagerman will serve as the dedicated contact for Frysk-Witlof in his role as Grower Relations Manager & Salesman. He sees the addition as a valuable enhancement to The Greenery's offering. "Frysk-Witlof stands for professionalism and continuity. With their expertise and ambition, they align well with our strategy. Together, we aim to strengthen chicory sales and seize market opportunities."

With this collaboration, The Greenery takes another step in reinforcing the supply of Dutch chicory, both domestically and internationally.
