In weeks 8 and 9 of 2025, average wholesale prices for bananas in the Netherlands (NL), Romania (RO), and Slovakia (SK) showed a clear upward trend. According to the data, prices in the Netherlands rose from €120 per 100 kg in week 8 to €122 per 100 kg in week 9, reflecting a modest but consistent increase in wholesale banana pricing.
Romania experienced a more pronounced price movement during the same period. The average wholesale price climbed from €143 per 100 kg in week 8 to €151 per 100 kg in week 9. This €8 increase highlights a notable shift within just one week and marks Romania as having one of the highest banana prices among the countries listed.
In Slovakia, the price per 100 kg increased from €137 in week 8 to €142 in week 9. The €5 rise reinforces the trend of increasing banana prices across these markets. All three countries recorded week-on-week growth in banana prices, based on the most recent available data.
