According to the Statistics Committee, Uzbekistan exported 192900 tons of fruits and vegetables in the first two months of 2025, generating $175.1 million in revenue.
Despite a 23.1% decrease in export volume compared to the same period last year, sales revenue increased by 16.7%.
Fruits and vegetables accounted for 3.8% of the country's total exports.
Breakdown of exports:
Fruits: Total 37,815.5 tons worth $40.85 million
- Dried grapes: 16,064.2 tons worth $20.62 million
- Dried prunes: 7,146.8 tons worth $9.3 million
- Fresh grapes: 8,146.3 tons worth $5.45 million
- Also exported: dried apricots, persimmons, apples
Vegetables: Total 91,176.1 tons worth $27.54 million
- Onions: 46,437 tons worth $10.13 million
- Cabbage: 23,515.4 tons worth $8.29 million
- Tomatoes: 4,023.4 tons worth $4.67 million
- Carrots: 12,690.6 tons worth $2.19 million
- Cucumbers: 1,172.4 tons worth $1.23 million
- Radishes: 3,337.3 tons worth $1.04 million
- Other vegetables included in smaller quantities
Analysts note that the increase in revenue despite lower export volumes is due to higher prices for Uzbek products on the global market.
