"The harvest of Ivory Coast Kent mangoes transported by sea will officially begin on 31 March 2025, more than 10 days earlier than last year. Shipments will take place approximately two days later. Sea shipments will be in full 40-foot HC containers, the equivalent of 24 pallets with a total weight of 21,760 kg, divided into 5,440 cartons (4 kg per carton). Week 16 could mark the start of air cargo shipments of mangoes for the new Ivorian season. In this case, the product will be available in 9 to 12 sizes, in 6 kg cartons, and in pallets of 77 to 99 cartons. The campaign will end at the end of May, and we will then move on to the Senegalese product. In May, the Malian mango season will also begin," says Joel Peguy Kamte, owner of Kep Company.
After speaking with his local suppliers, he adds, "Many customers are requesting the air freight product for this campaign. We hope there will be more logistical availability than last year." The company focuses on the sale of tropical fruits and vegetables of African origin (Ivory Coast, Senegal, Kenya, and South Africa, to name a few countries). The African mango is mainly in demand in the Netherlands, Belgium, Spain, the United Kingdom, Germany, and Italy.

"According to the growers, the quality of the Ivory Coast mango is better than last year. The bloom is also earlier, so we are starting a little earlier. Our packing station is ready. The exceptional quality of our mangoes is the result of meticulous work carried out exclusively by experienced women in the selection process. Their dynamism, delicacy, and attention to detail make all the difference and guarantee fruit of impeccable quality. Protective sleeves are used for our fruit to preserve the quality of the fruit during transportation, provide a better presentation to attract European markets, and reduce shocks and damage for optimal freshness," adds Kamte.

For the 2025 season, we are already prepared to meet customer specifications with the same dedication and excellence," says Kamte.
Monitoring the market is a key factor
"Analyzing trends and understanding current needs is key to adapting the offer and accurately meeting partners' expectations," concludes Kamte. "This approach allows us to respond effectively to industry dynamics and ensure strategic alignment with market needs."
