G9 bananas from Kalahandi exported to Dubai in first shipment

The Trilokeswar Farmer Producer Company (FPC), in collaboration with the Department of Horticulture and Palladium marketing agency, executed the first export of G9 bananas from Kalampur, Kalahandi, to Dubai. On Saturday, 12 tons of G9 bananas were procured from farmer shareholders Smruti Ranjan Mund, Nilamani Lahajal, and Narayan Sahu. The shipment was transported from Biju Patnaik International Airport in Bhubaneswar to Dubai.

Trilokeswar FPC, Mahashakti Foundation, and NABARD supported the implementation of new agricultural techniques for banana cultivation. The farmer-producer group supplied quality planting materials, organic fertilizers, training, and marketing support.

With backing from NABARD and the Government of India, Trilokeswar FPC established a 150-acre banana cluster in Kalampur, Kalahandi. This initiative aims to improve market access for farmers and enhance Kalahandi's position in fruit exports.
