Buyers from Russia, Ireland, and Hong Kong will visit Lambayeque for the first time to learn about the benefits of the fresh fruits that local and national exporters will offer during the Business Roundtable that will take place at the Expo Peru Norte 2018 Lambayeque for the World.
Alberto Sanchez Vassallo, the coordinator of Promperu's Macro Regional Office of Northwest Exports, said the buyers had expressed interest in fresh fruits and other products, such as mango, passion fruit, organic bananas, figs, lucuma, garlic, asparagus, peppers, citrus fruits, and berries. "There is an order for pomegranate; as well as for fresh fruits and vegetables," he said.
Sanchez Vassallo said that the previous business roundtables held in Lambayeque had never involved buyers from Russia, Ireland, and Hong Kong.
"This is very important. We don't have much experience in fresh fruits destined to these countries because they are very distant destinations, but they are very interested in these types of purchases," he said.
Sanchez Vassallo said that buyers from other countries, such as the United States, Chile, Colombia, Germany, Mexico, Brazil, Italy, Taiwan, Spain, South Korea, Canada, France, Argentina, and the Netherlands would also participate in the event.

Producers expect to achieve commercial commitments of approximately 30 to 40 million dollars in this Fair, he said.
The event will be held within the framework of the Expo Peru Norte 2018, with the support of the Commercial Offices of Peru Abroad (Ocex).

He also said that the sectors that would be conducting negotiations would be the agribusinesses devoted to fresh and frozen products, processed lines, and grains.
These include grapes, organic bananas, berries, and lemons. They also include
artichoke, paprika, piquillo pepper, and jalapeƱo pepper. As well as canary beans, beans, and black eye beans.
