Through public-private partnership

CMA CGM to help develop Port of Odessa

In France, Ukrainian Minister of Infrastructure, Volodymyr Omelyan, was present at the signing of a memorandum of understanding between Ukrainian Sea Ports Authority (USPA), State Enterprise “Odessky ICC”, “Brooklyn-Kyiv Port” LLC and CMA CGM.

USPA head Raivis Veckagans said that in the framework of this project in Odessa, reconstruction of berths № 13-с, 14-с would be addressed, increasing the volume of cargo handling.

Ukraine is interested in cooperation with international investors, therefore its government is taking a number of measures to increase the investment climate of the country. Ukrainian ports will open new opportunities for foreign investors.

Cooperation between CMA CGM  and Ukrainian parties is beneficial for everyone as it will provide investment in the development of the Odessa seaport, increase in freight traffic and, as a consequence, lead to significant deductions to budgets of different levels.

CMA CGM SA is a French container transportation and shipping company. It is a leading worldwide shipping group, using 200 shipping routes between 420 ports in 150 different countries. LLC Brooklyn-Kiev one of the largest stevedoring companies and one of the leading companies of Ukrainian transport sector, which has been operating since 1992 in the territory of Odessa seaport.

In accordance with our developed port development strategy by 2038, public-private partnership projects will attract nearly UAH 44 billion. investments in the development of the port industry.
