"Organic productions are growing both in Europe and the US as well as in smaller countries," explains CCPB CEO Fabrizio Piva.

Italy plays a leading role when it comes to production, cultivated areas and consumption. It is the European country with the largest number of processing facilities (18,000) and it is the second leading exporter after the US when it comes to value (almost €2 billion in 2017). "This show how Italy is a leading organic producer on an international level."

CCPB is a certifying body specializing in organic and sustainable agriculture and had two stands at Biofach for food (Hall 4-511) and for cosmetic products (Hall 7A-551).
