When there is a positive response, extension of the route network is intended

Pamyra signs up for logistics partnership with Fresh Logistics System

Pamyra.de, the German comparison platform for logistics, has entered into a partnership with logistics service provider Fresh Logistics System. The goal should be to avoid empty return runs from Hamburg to Berlin in the future. An extension of the route network is intended, when there is enough of a positive response.

Transport company Fresh Logistics System focuses on the storage and transport of sensitive, temperature-controlled goods such as fruits, vegetables, flowers and plants. Every week, several shipments are loaded up and then transported between the cities of Hamburg and Berlin. After unloading the cargo, it is not uncommon for trucks to drive back without cargo. In order to face the ecological as well as the economic challenges that arise from this situation, the transport service provider now relies on the intelligent digital solution of the Leipzig startup Pamyra.de.

Online visibility and transparency
"By teaming up with Pamrya, we are expanding our portfolio with another, modern and digital distribution channel, whose high visibility and transparency means that we also want to make better use of routine empty-runs," explains Peter Jäger, Head of Processes & Systems at Fresh Logistics System GmbH.

In order to optimize transport routes, making optimum use of the truck load space and reducing the cost pressure caused by empty runs, comparison and booking platform Pamyra.de will offer its assistance. Already in 2018 Pamyra.de was runner-up for the "Eco Performance Award 2018" in the category "Startups".

For Pamyra.de it is the first cooperation with a provider of fresh transports. "We are very excited about the new partnership and the input it will bring. Demands from partners that deviate from the existing ones will help us to further expand our platform," says Felix Wiegand, founder and managing director of Pamyra GmbH.

Digital mediation process
As an independent comparison and booking platform for the transport industry, the company -founded in 2016- provides orders for free loading capacities of transport companies. The digital mediation process takes place online and within seconds. Compared to conventional transport exchanges, however, the requests are not forwarded to individual forwarding agents and processed there manually: from the most relevant  information about freight and route, Pamyra.de automatically deduces who the appropriate shipping companies are. In addition to this, shippers can compare the vehicle make-up, the delivery date as well as the price for direct journeys and empty return trips directly in an overview, after which they can book the order immediately.

Pamyra is an independent comparison and booking platform for the logistics sector. The company was founded in 2016 by Felix Wiegand and Steven Qual and is based in Leipzig. This innovative online portal will enable any shippers to get an overview of the offers on the German transport market within seconds, enabling them to choose those offers that are most suitable. Logistics companies can put their offers on the platform for free and at the same time use it as a sales channel.
