Ortogel has just attended FHC China (Shanghai, 12th-14th November 2019) held at the Shanghai International Exhibition Centre. In addition to the prestigious Sicilian blood orange juice, the other Italian products promoted included oil, fish products, food, sweets, coffee and craft beers.
"We presented our citrus fruit juice range, and blood orange juice in particular, in a vast market that is appreciating high-quality products. New economic and development opportunities as well as alliances when it comes to innovation processes could represent an added value for our Filiare Sicura project."
"The objective is to strengthen the citrus fruit chain to supply the market with a product that is as genuine and sustainable as possible and that safeguards the interests of both producers and consumers," explains Ortogel sole administrator Vincenzo Rizzo.
At the centre, Lorena Smerlo for Ortogel Spa.
The Chinese market is focusing on quality and has identified Italy as a partner with an eye to sustainable production, high quality and food safety. Exports of Italian food products to China are seeing a double-digit growth and reached €439 million in 2018, a value that has almost tripled over the past 10 years (+254%).
The FHC fair is considered a point of reference for China and neighboring countries. The event, which has reached the 23rd edition, attracts the interest of the food sector thanks to the business opportunities provided and, at the same time, it is strategic to promote Italian products in nearby countries such as Korea, Vietnam, Taiwan, Hong Kong and Macao.
Ortogel has always been a company capable of promoting its product, reaching final clients on both the domestic and foreign markets with high-quality productions obtained with technological plants and state-of-the-art processing lines.

For the past few years, Ortogel has been working on aggregate production solutions that strengthen the chain - from traceability to clear labels - in view of safeguarding the product from the competition from European and third countries.
The monitoring of all commercialized and processed productions (product origin and processing territory) may be the only way for consumers to be sure what they are drinking is 100% Sicilian juice.
"We will be able to see the full results of the project in 2020. Thanks to the QR code found on our juices, consumers can download our app and obtain information on our product and its origin."
