Sky-rocketing onion prices have made the vegetable, once considered basic, a luxury. Memes mocking the vegetable have been floating on social media, in addition to the debates that have surrounded the soaring prices. And now, the vegetable seems to have turned into jewellery for actress-turned-author Twinkle Khanna.

According to economictimes.indiatimes.com, Khanna has taken to Instagram to flaunt a pair of ‘onion earrings’ gifted to her by actor-husband Akshay Kumar.
