Bangladesh’ Agriculture Minister Razzaque:

Japan wants to import Bangladesh mangoes

According to Bangladesh’ Agriculture Minister, Dr Abdur Razzaque, Japan is keen to import mango from his nation. Japanese Ambassador to Dhaka Naoki Ito expressed the eagerness while talking to the minister at a meeting held at the Secretariat on Sunday.

With Bangladesh being one of the leading producers of mango in the world, Japan also wants to take skilled manpower in the agriculture sector from Bangladesh. “The agriculture sector [of Bangladesh] will be fully mechanised and diversified in the next two to three years,” Razzaque said. He also sought cooperation from the Japanese government for commercialising agriculture, poultry and dairy sectors.
