Peru promotes agricultural logistics with a new road corridor

In the framework of its Proregion program, the Ministry of Transportation and Communications of Peru (MTC) signed the contract for the execution and supervision of the 273 km long Cusco - Madre de Dios Road Corridor, which will require an investment of more than S / 220 million.

This corridor will boost the logistics chain of the agricultural districts of Pisac, Colquepata, Paucartambo, Challabamba, and Kosñipata of Cusco, and Manu in Madre de Dios. This will benefit the marketing of coffee, cocoa, achiote, yellow corn, tubers, and fruits, such as mango and avocado, among other products.

The interventions in the Cusco - Madre de Dios corridor will take place over a period of six years. The work will directly benefit more than 75,000 inhabitants of the districts where it will pass.
