The year 2019 reaffirmed the double-digit growth trend for Futura, a company that produces systems for sorting and calibration. Their latest innovations will be showcased at the trade fair in Berlin.
"We expanded our existing portfolio of graders at a technical level," said the manager of the company Omar Papi. We designed and created a new line of graders with an extremely delicate and reliable roller conveyor system, Logika soft Roller Grader. In addition to the sliding trolley system, we have now added 6 sizes of roller conveyors to handle smaller fruits such as cherries and cherry tomatoes, but also avocados and mangoes. All medium-sized fruits such as tomatoes, apples, citrus fruits and the whole range of stone fruits are included".
"Among the novelties - added Papi - the new electronic sizer equipped with roller system ( full rotation of the fruit exclusively in the inspection area), which allows to select with an excellent accuracy various types of external defects for most fruits. Thanks to this innovative solution, we can reduce labour costs by 80-90%, since up to now these sorting operations were carried out manually. Moreover, we can achieve greater precision and homogeneity".
Recently, a new subsidiary has been opened in South Africa, in Cape Town, together with a local partner who is following not only the commercial area, but also the technical part. "On site we have a dedicated technical structure with about 15 people involved in the production of some of our electronic sizing machines and for the installation and after-sales service. We are now also operating in other new markets such as Ukraine, Belarus and Azerbaijan".
New projects are also planned for 2020, when the new roller sorting machine for small fruits as cherries and tomato cherry will be released. The company will take part in Fruit Logistica: hall 3.1 stand C07.
