One thousand operators - producers, traders and buyers - from over 850 companies attended the House Fair Sicily 2020 Tomato DemoGreenhouse promoted by Enza Zaden in Sicily.

The Enza Zaden product range includes cherry tomatoes, plum tomatoes, colored tomatoes, midi-plum tomatoes and beefsteak tomatoes as well as various types that adapt perfectly to the local soil and weather conditions. There was a lot of interest for the varieties introduced during the 2019 edition such as Caravaggio, Vespucci, E15C50410, Santasty, Bosco and Grifone.

Just like last year, the Enza Zaden team has established a calendar of visits between mid-January and mid-March. This way, it manages to dedicate operators the time necessary to find the most suitable solution for their specific needs.

What is new in 2020
In addition to the commercial varieties presented in 2019, all the selections available in 2020 were also presented.
There is E15C.42149, a high-end flavorful cherry tomato with a bright red color, excellent resistance to cracking, Brix level above 9 and an acid-sugar ratio in line with the demands of the trickiest consumers.
Balanced winter plant, fruit grade between 25-28 mm in line with the characteristics required for a premium product, ideal for exports. HR resistances: ToMV:0-2/ToANV/Fol:0,1 - IR: TYLCV/Ma/Mi/Mj.
Then there is E15T.42138, a midi-plum tomato with a deep red color, high consistency and resistant to cracking. High productivity.
Plant with regular internodes and medium-high vigor, resistant to cold temperatures. HR resistances: ToMV:0-2/ToANV/Ff:A-E/Va:0/Vd:0/Fol:0,1 - IR: TYLCV/Ma/Mi/Mj.
Finally, E15B.41786, a pink beefsteak tomato. High specific weight, sweet delicate flavor. Suitable for spring-summer cycles. Extremely-productive dark plant. HR resistances: ToMV:0-2/Va:0/Vd:0 - IR: TSWV/Ma/Mi/Mj.
