Leading South African fruit bin manufacturer mpact is offering the bins widely used in the South African fruit and vegetable industry to clients in Spain, France, the Netherlands and the United Kingdom.
The rounded shape of the JB1210 bin has been designed with fruit protection in mind. Rounded corners and smoother interior surfaces result in less bruising and damage to fresh produce compared to traditional rigid box shaped designs. It is fully interstackable with all major European bin brands with the same footprint.

The bin is lighter, which allows for ease of handling, while the use of polypropylene provides greater flexibility.
It has a footprint dimension of 1 x 1.2m x 770mm, a larger volume of 677 liter and a carrying capacity of 500 kg.
“It is manufactured in South Africa with virgin plastic for longevity, which also facilitates the recycling of the bin at the end of its lifespan. The expected lifespan of the bin is between ten and twenty years, depending on use,” explains Jaco Nel, Jumbo Bins sales manager at mpact.
“These bins have been in use in South Africa since 2003, with ongoing development of the design throughout the years. We have seventeen years of experience in injection moulding and the manufacture of plastic fruit bins.”
In South Africa these bins are widely used for citrus, topfruit and vegetables.
The company has been exporting the JB1210 bins for the past five years to clients in the UK and various European countries and has ample stock available in Europe at the moment.
The selling price, excluding delivery, is 45 euros.
