"The plum season this year has begun in Nanjiang Township, Kaiyang County, Guizhou Province. The supply period of the various plum varieties will succeed each other and continue through the end of August,” Mr. Tao Qiuxun of Zuimei Specialised Cooperative said.

“Moonlight is the first variety to ripen and will be available from June 20 to July 10, followed by Black Honey, which will be on the market from July 5 to 25. Soon after, the Honey variety will hit the market on July 30 and Golden Nai will be available from August 5 to 25."

“The Covid-19 pandemic that has been ongoing since the Spring Festival has hindered the sales of many fruits, and plums are no exception. The price at the very beginning of the current production season is about 20% lower than the same period last year. Currently, we mainly market our plums via e-commerce platforms and pick-your-own activities. We pack our products in specifications of 1.5 kilos, 2.5-kilo foam boxes, and 2.5-kilo gift boxes."
