"Chinese market demand for baby pumpkins is growing quickly"

"The Chinese economy suffered from the outbreak of Covid-19 and now consumers carefully monitor prices before they spend their money. The overall price of fruit and vegetables significantly declined in comparison with previous years. However, the sales volume of our baby pumpkins did not seem to suffer from this economic decline, on the contrary, our sales volume has grown." This is according to Mr. Wang Lei of Fuping Shuoguo Xuan Agricultural Development Co., Ltd.

"We were able to avoid a decline in sales volume and sell more instead because we pay careful attention to the product quality or our baby pumpkins. Almost all fruits and vegetables will suffer the consequences of poor economic conditions, but consumers who buy expensive, high-quality products are less likely to have a problem with high prices. That is why consumer demand for our baby pumpkins remains strong."

"Baby pumpkins have three times more xylose sugar than regular pumpkins. Furthermore, the appearance of baby pumpkins is more attractive than regular pumpkins. They are small and black with green stripes. They can easily endure a long period in storage. We grow our baby pumpkins in Shandong and sell them via e-commerce platforms. We can supply baby pumpkins all year round."
