Consumers have been paying even more attention to food safety since the outbreak of Covid-19. At the same time, there is also a growing demand for sliced fruits and vegetables. The cutting up of fruits and vegetables is an important step in the processing of fruits and vegetables. This step is not just about food safety, but there is a great potential to improve the efficiency of operations in a processing factory. Valencia, a spokesperson for Ningbo Lueon Technologies Co., Ltd., recently introduced the company's latest fruit and vegetable cutter.
According to Valencia, most domestic fruit and vegetable cutters can only slice one type of fruit or vegetable. Some larger processing factories or kitchens in restaurants and dining halls require several cutters to operate simultaneously to cut different types of fruit and vegetables. These machines occupy a large surface area and they are not easy to operate. This is not a suitable solution for clients who need to cut a wide variety of fruits and vegetables. Some smaller companies are therefore looking for multi-functional cutters.
"Last month we finished the research and development of a multi-functional cutter for a wide variety of fruits and vegetables. This is in response to market demand for such a machine. Our cutter can process a number of fruits and vegetables including lettuce, peppers, tomatoes, cucumbers, onions, mushrooms, potatoes, kiwifruit, mangoes, and dragon fruit. At the highest setting, this cutter can process 400-800 kg per hour. We use one of four different kinds of blades to conveniently and quickly slice the fruit or vegetable in question. The blades can easily be replaced. That is how the machine swiftly switches between slicing, cutting, dicing, and shredding fruits and vegetables. The cutter is equipped with a touchscreen that allows for the adjustment of cutting width," explained Valencia.
"Furthermore, the machine is designed to be as small and light as possible, and has easy access for cleaning. At the same time, we also made this machine more waterproof, so that the machine will continue to function properly even in a moist work environment that is regularly hosed down for cleaning."
The research and development process has only just been concluded. The large-scale production of this cutter is still underway. However, some loyal customers have already ordered this new model. "We mainly supply large companies such as Starbucks. Our cutters produce the new Starbucks fruit cups, and we receive great market feedback. In addition to Starbucks and other drinks companies, we are also working hard to expand our business with fast-food chain companies such as KFC and MacDonalds," said Valencia.
