The Xinfadi Market in Beijing fully opened again on September 6. On this first day the average price of vegetables dropped by 9.51%. The market was dominated by vegetables and fruit, with additional stands for other agricultural products.

"The market fully restored the original layout. About 43 hectares are devoted to vegetable sales. The main products currently sold are corn, string beans, peanuts, and large bok choy." This is according to deputy director of Xinfadi Market, Gu Zhaoxue. The supply volume on the first day of business reached 80% of the previous supply level.

The market supply of vegetables rapidly increased on this first day, which is why the price suddenly dropped by 9.51%. According to Gu Zhaoxue, the assortment includes a wide variety of products, supply is sufficient, and trade proceeds smoothly. The market is preparing for Mid-Autumn Festival [October 1, 2020] and National Day [October 1, 2020], which fall on the same day this year. Gu Zhaoxue hopes that the Xinfadi Market will have fully recovered by then.
