The Ministry of Agrarian Development (MDA) has been working intensively to promote and boost the province of Buenos Aires' agricultural food exports. In a joint effort with the Argentine Foreign Ministry, the Argentine Embassy in Brasilia, and the General Consulate and Promotion Center of Argentina in São Paulo, the Ministry carried out a commercial mission for Buenos Aires' fruit and vegetable sector with Brazil.
The mission consisted of a series of virtual business rounds on Tuesday and Wednesday of last week, in which a total of six companies from the sector of the province of Buenos Aires contacted Brazilian importers interested in acquiring their products.
"Every time we open a new market, new opportunities open up for our producers, generating more local work, greater regional development and, with it, more value for each and every person in Buenos Aires. We are taking a very important step to boost the province's fruit and vegetable exports, accompanying our companies on this path," said Minister Javier Rodriguez.
The companies from Buenos Aires that participated in this commercial mission, and that were accompanied throughout this process by the MDA through its International Relations Department, are ArgenBras Parceria, Parceiros SulAmerica, EcoFrutas SA, Parana Basin Fruits, Plantinero Coltinari, and TomJung SRL.
At the beginning of this month, the head of the agrarian portfolio, together with the Director of International Relations, Cecilia Llabres, presented two new tools to promote Buenos Aires' food exports to the world: a technical assistance program for SMEs and cooperatives that want to start selling their products abroad, and a web platform that producers can use to find different business opportunities abroad.
