New agreement signed by Chinese cargo airline and local orange association

On November 1, HNA Cargo, a subsidiary of HNA Group, and Qiongzhong Orange Industry Association signed a cooperation agreement in Qiongzhong Li and Miao Autonomous County. Following the agreement, the two parties will continue to deepen their cooperation in transporting produce local to Hainan and improving growers’ welfare. Since the beginning of this year, HNA Cargo has shipped more than 28,000 tons of produce out of Hainan.

Green Oranges from Qiongzhong is a major brand of tropical fruits from Hainan. Being the pillar industry of Qiongzhong Li and Miao Autonomous County, this fruit has a planted area of over 30,000 mu and a yearly production value of nearly 100 million yuan. “As green oranges have high requirements for fresh keeping, transport by air is the best logistics choice, as it not only improves the freshness of the fruit but also makes it easier for customers to pick up the goods. Mainland customers have generally given very good feedback,” Wang Zhaojun, chairman of the Qiongzhong Orange Industry Association Introduced.

Li Bo, Deputy General Manager of the HNA Cargo Marketing Department, said that HNA Cargo has been active in the transportation of green oranges from Qiongzhong for many years. The signing of this formal cooperation agreement signifies deeper and broader cooperation. On the one hand, HNA Cargo will utilize its route network to optimize transportation plans and improve transportation efficiency. On the other hand, it will use its customer resources to help local fruit growers and wholesalers to find potential customers and strengthen the linkage with e-commerce platforms and airports to provide a more convenient and smooth logistics chain by air for produce from Hainan.
