State government’s pro-farmer policies seem to yield results

Chillies and tomatoes exported from Ghazipur

Despite the current pandemic, the pro-farmer policies of Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath seem to be yielding results. Even in these difficult times, Ghazipur growers set a new precedent by exporting 30 tonnes of green chilies and tomatoes to Bangladesh and Nepal.

Yogi’s emphasis on strengthening the FPOs coupled with other pro-farmer policies towards doubling their income has brought about significant achievements in terms of exports of agri-produce.

According to an article on newsroompost.com¸as many as 1,500 growers from Patal Ganga and adjoining areas of Ghazipur district are now able to earn a reasonable living.
