Seminis, (Bayer Vegetable Seed Division) organized individual and personalized meetings over two weeks with several players in the melon industry, with the objective of creating more awareness about the taste, firmness, shelf life and sustainability (resistance packages) of the Seminis winter and summer Cantaloupe portfolio around the world.
Seminis organized digital meetings with the main EU traders and retailers where they were able to share and to discuss about the main market challenges such as uniformity, appearance and taste during the whole year.
Before the digital meetings, fruit samples of SV1044MF were sent to some of the participants from Brazil to optimize information exchange about the Seminis Cantaloupe portfolio along the sessions.
The alignment between the Brazilian Portfolio and the European assortment was explained during the presentations by the Seminis Team in Europe with ambassadors of Breeding, Marketing, Market Development, Sensory Lab and Value Chain / Trade partnerships.
