El Quseir added that Japan permitted imports of Egyptian citrus fruit in November 2020 , after some ‘serious negotiations’. Accessing the Japanese market has reportedly been one of the biggest challenges faced by the Egyptian Agricultural Quarantine Authority in recent years.
