Asaja Murcia says the Spanish stone fruit sector needs an inter-branch organization based in Murcia

Asaja Murcia, the professional agrarian organization, said the stone fruit sector needed a nationwide inter-branch organization headquartered in Murcia's capital.

According to the general secretary of Asaja Murcia, Alfonso Galvez Caravaca, “it is very important to work towards the creation of a national inter-branch organization in the stone fruit sector, which would allow this sector to be more structured, increasing the stone fruit industry's competitiveness and profitability.”

Promotional campaigns
“The organization would allow the sector to carry out promotional campaigns at the national and international level, creating a brand image for our production. In addition, it would allow us to have a greater internationalization and promote the opening of new markets for our stone fruit,” stated the head of Asaja Murcia.

Positive expectations for Murcian stone fruit
"We have excellent and positive expectations for the Murcian stone fruit campaign, which enjoys high quality, and we believe that it will have a great internationalization," he added.

"We hope there aren't any adverse weather events and prices are attractive for producers, trading companies, and cooperatives," Galvez Caravaca stated.
