WAPA releases overview of the Northern Hemisphere apple and pear stocks

Poland has significantly more apples in stock than it did in 2020

WAPA has released the latest update on the apple and pear stocks in the Northern Hemisphere. Looking at the volumes of stocks, Poland has a significantly larger amount in stocks than they did in 2020 around this time. Italy still has slightly more in stocks, but the difference is marginal. In terms of pears, Belgium almost has double the amount of pears in stocks compared to last year.

For the United States, the Red Delicious apples are still the most stocked variety, with Gala coming in second. There are also large amounts of Granny Smith, Honeycrisp and Fuji in stock. For pears, the amount in stock are similar to last year, but the Bosc variety is gaining ground. Overall though, the Bosc pears make up less than 15% of the total volumes.
