The harvesting of Albisole apricots grown on over 300 hectares by Società agricola Guidi (Forlì-Cesena) will start in less than three weeks' time. "Despite the cold weather and the frost, the production will be satisfactory. We have calculated a maximum damage of 20-30% as, thankfully, orchards are distributed on multiple municipalities. Quantities will be enough to please all our clients," reports Roberto Guidi, son of owner Giancarlo.

There will be the chance to expand the markets, especially abroad, and reach new clients. "Harvesting should start in late May/early June, more or less in line with harvesting in Metaponto, and will continue until September."
Albisole's production is Zero Residue, also thanks to the protection nets covering over 200 hectares. "Nets also enabled us to salvage most of the production from the frost, as they maintained a higher temperature. We have noticed how red-peeled varieties did better than yellow ones."

Over the past few months, the company has also successfully harvested and commercialized Terra di Romagna artichokes. "The produce did well, especially with the big retail chain. The guarantee represented by our brand helped push sales."
