JD plans to export 500,000 tons of mangoes from China to Russia

Recently, the local authorities of Panzhihua City and Manzhouli City signed a cooperation agreement with JD Group. In the next three years, JD will purchase 500,000 tons of mangoes from Panzhihua and export them to Russia, Northeast Asia, Europe, and other countries through the Manzhouli Port. This year, they will export 50,000 tons. During the signing event, companies from both cities signed a supply and marketing agreement for 10,000 tons.

It is reported that in recent years, Panzhihua City has continued to advance the development of a high-quality industry with a high level of openness. In 2020, mangoes from this city exported to Russia through Manzhouli accounted for 36.8% of the total mango exports handled by the port.

Following the agreement, Panzhihua will invite high-quality enterprises engaged in the international fresh food trade in Manzhouli to connect with local companies and expand the export scale of mangoes and pomegranates through cooperation. It will support JD.com and China Post to work with local logistics companies in Manzhouli to jointly build an efficient supply chain logistics system connecting Panzhihua and the overseas markets via Manzhouli, therefore greatly improve the ability of mangoes and pomegranates from Panzhihua to be exported through Manzhouli. It will also bridge supply and trade to help the sale of high-quality products imported through Manzhouli port, such as grains and oil, in Panzhihua and markets in southwestern Sichuan and northwestern Yunnan.
