The World Fresh Forum will be held in the framework of Fruit Attraction for the fifth consecutive year. It will be devoted to presenting the current business opportunities and trade challenges in this edition's guest countries: Brazil, Ukraine, South Korea and Belarus. Organized by the Secretary of State for Trade, Icex Spain Export and Investment, Ifema and Fepex, the Forum will be held in four sessions between September 6 and 10 through the LIVEConnect platform.
"For Fepex, the World Fresh Forum is a highly valuable parallel activity held within the framework of the Fair. It is a space intended for business and institutional networking which makes it possible to take advantage of the business opportunities offered by the guest countries. It also facilitates market diversification, one of the main challenges for the fruit and vegetable export sector."
"We believe that Fruit Attraction is the best place to showcase the value of the Spanish fruit and vegetable sector in international markets. Icex will support this event in two ways: on the one hand, with the organization of specific webinars on opportunity markets such as Belarus, Brazil, South Korea and Ukraine at the World Fresh Forum; on the other hand, by organizing a mission of international buyers who will meet with exhibitors at the Buyer's Meeting," says Icex.
The first day of the World Fresh Forum, on Monday, September 6, will be devoted to Brazil. This country's fruit and vegetable market has some relevance for Spanish exporters. In fact, in Brazil, Spain is the leading European exporter of products such as garlic, onions, plums, peaches, pears and citrus fruits.
On Wednesday, September 8, the day will be devoted to Ukraine, whose fruit and vegetable market has been recording significant increases in its import figures in recent years, with more than double digit growth rates.
On Thursday, September 9, it will be South Korea's turn. This country's free trade agreement with the European Union facilitates trade between the two parties. The export of some fruit and vegetable products is subject to the approval of bilateral protocols; however, business opportunities may arise in the export of orange varieties where bilateral protocols are already in force, as well as in the case of other fresh products that do not require these protocols, or of frozen and canned products.
In the case of Belarus, the conference will be held on Friday, September 10.
