Idai Nature grows by 30% in a year marked by the pandemic

Idai Nature has closed its fiscal year with a 30% increase in sales compared to last year, reaching 50 M€; a figure that is even more relevant due to the socioeconomic situation we are going through as a result of the global pandemic and the scarcity of raw materials.

The Rovensa Group's Biocontrol unit, formed by Idai Nature, Agrichem Bio and Grupo Agrotecnología, has taken advantage of existing synergies between the three companies to strengthen its position in key markets, such as Spain and Mexico, as well as in the new countries they have entered.

Another figure that demonstrates the current strength of this Spanish company is the Ebitda generated, which has risen to 15 M €. This represents a growth of almost 50% compared to the previous year and shows that it is possible to grow in a profitable and sustainable manner.

It should be noted that these figures are not yet taking the group's latest acquisition into account; that of the South African company Oro Agri, which is currently in the process of becoming integrated into the group.

The coming years
Idai Nature, awarded by the European Commission as Europe's Most Sustainable Company in 2020, has an ambitious expansion plan in place up until 2025. It expects to invest more than 40 M€ with the objective of exceeding 300 M€ in sales organically, besides the inorganic growth that will occur in this period with the planned acquisitions. There will be a demanding registration plan focused on complying with European regulations aligned with the Green Deal and Farm to Fork, as well as new hires of trained talent to meet the challenge of being world leaders in agricultural biocontrol in the coming years, reaching more than 300 phytosanitary biocontrol registrations in the world in 2025.
