16 companies and a score of experts will participate in the VI Dalías Early Pepper Conference

The Dalías Casino will host the VI Dalías Early Pepper Conference on November 24, 25, and 26. “The programming is more intense when compared to previous years with the aim of continuing to increase the value of one of Dalias' star products, its early pepper. A total of 16 companies and more than twenty experts in the sector will participate in this event, which has already become a must-attend event for farmers throughout the region,” stated the Councilor for Agriculture, Salvador Páez.

The event will begin on Wednesday, November 24, with field visits, the opening of the facilities, and the inauguration of the event. Then, the Official College of Agricultural Technical Engineers of Almeria will hold a round table, which will be presented by the journalist Jose Antonio Arcos and moderated by the president of the College, Fernando Paniagua.

On Wednesday afternoon, councilor, Cristina Gomez will introduce all the rural women's associations in the province of Almeria, i.e. AFAMMER, AMFAR, CERES, FADEMUR, and DALAYAT, which will make a presentation accompanied by the delegate of Justice in Almeria, Jose Luis Delgado.

The first day will end with a gastronomic workshop and subsequent tasting by Ana Ruiz, the creator and editor of the Cocina con Ana blog.

On Thursday, Eduardo Pardo, head of Greenhouse Technology at Fundación Tecnova, will talk about irrigation techniques based on perspiration. Afterward, there will be a round table about the use of water in horticulture, which is being organized with professors from the University of Almeria.

The business talks will begin at 3:00 pm. The first speaker will be Jesus Barranco, the director of Alhóndiga La Unión. He will be followed by Rocio Lopez, Marketing Manager at Bioline, and Ana Belen Arevalo, Agrobío's Technical Development Manager.

On November 26, IFIPA will hold a round table regarding the importance of soil health and the use of organic waste.

Friday morning will continue with the long-awaited exhibition of the chef and presenter of Canal Sur's Cómetelo program, Enrique Sanchez. The conference will end with an aperitif and cocktails by María Rodríguez de La Casa.
