The volume of lemon exports from Uzbekistan dropped 37% in January-October 2021 compared to the same months in 2020. It still turned out to be almost 6% higher than in the same period in 2019. Given the increased demand for lemons in the pandemic 2020, the volume of lemon exports in physical terms from Uzbekistan is returning to the pre-pandemic level.
The export of lemons from Uzbekistan from the beginning of January to the end of October 2021 amounted to 3,700 tons worth $3.8 million. For comparison, the export volume in the same period of 2020 amounted to 5,900 tons, and in January-October 2019 – 3,500 tons. This means that lemon exports from Uzbekistan are returning to the level of pre-pandemic years.
