Yesterday, Egypt’s Minister of Agriculture and Land Reclamation Elsayed Elkoseir received Russian Deputy Minister of Agriculture, Sergey Levin, and his accompanying delegation. The meeting was set up to discuss boosting cooperation in the agricultural field between the two nations.
The Russian Deputy Minister of Agriculture indicated that Egypt is a key and important partner in the field of commodity exchange, especially agricultural commodities. He announced appointing an agricultural advisor at the Russian Embassy in Cairo to work with the stakeholders at the Ministry of Agriculture to facilitate the flow of agricultural commodities between the two countries and increase the volumes.
Levin promised to increase the volume of Russian imports of Egyptian potatoes and citrus.
