Chilean fresh fruit exports have increased by almost 8% over the previous season

According to the Association of Fruit Exporters of Chile AG (ASOEX), Chile has exported 708,741 tons of fresh fruits so far in the 2021-2022 fruit export season (from September 1, 2021, to January 11, 2022), i.e. 7.85 % more than the volume it exported in the same period of last year (2020-2021).

To date, the Far East is the main destination of shipments with 301,818 tons of fresh Chilean fruits received (-4.75% less than in the previous campaign). It is followed by the United States with 177,642 tons (+54.6%), Latin America with 114,936 tons (+ 10.45%), Europe with 106,849 tons (+ 21.35%), Canada with 6,354 tons (-19%), and the Middle East with 1,142 tons (+ 92%).

The main fruits exported by Chile in the analyzed period were: cherries (291,503 tons), avocados (97,188 tons), mandarins (87,869 tons), apples (70,405 tons), blueberries (55,371 tons), oranges (25,696 tons), and table grapes (17,373 tons).
