Papua New Guinea potato producers want better returns

Potato farmers in the Western Highlands Province are concerned about the potato prices. One farmer from the Tambu-Nebilyer district, said farmers spend a lot in planting but don't get good returns from the harvest.

He said there is no proper market for potatoes with a good selling price and farmers are wasting their hard work in planting potatoes. He urged responsible authorities to seriously look into the need of the hardworking potato farmers in the rural areas in Western Highlands.
