The Polish Potato Federation and Europatat have announced the opening of registrations for the annual Europatat Congress that will take place in the beautiful city of Gdansk (Poland) from 5 to 7 June 2023. Under the slogan “The Changing Geopolitical Landscape and the Future for Potato Trade”, this year’s event will explore the impact of current geopolitics for international agri-food trade but also the effect of EU’s Green Deal’s goals for potato trade inside and outside Europe and the latest Polish sector’s developments.
On Monday 5 June, Europatat members will review the different activities of the association during the meetings of its five Commissions (consumption potatoes, seed potatoes, sustainability, technical and regulatory issues, and RUCIP). On the next day, Tuesday 6 of June, the Europatat General Assembly will take place in the morning and later on, the public session of the Congress will assess the state of play of the potato sector and discuss the priorities and challenges facing the potato business in Europe and beyond.
Besides the professional working programme, the Europatat Congress will also offer several social events such as a partner’s programme, evening cocktails and a Gala Dinner at the Polish Baltic Philharmonic to reinforce the networking and contact among the European potato community.
