The export of Chinese vegetables and fruits to Russia from January to July 2023 amounted to 90,000 tons, which is 102.8% more than the previous year.
"In monetary terms, the volume of fruit and vegetable exports for this period amounted to 610 million yuan, which is 101.1% more than the previous year. Chinese vegetables and fruits are imported into Russia through the Manchuria-Zabaykalsk border crossing," according to a statement from the Ministry of Planning of Zabaykalsky Krai.
Fresh fruit and vegetable products are processed for export from China promptly, following the principle: "Received cargo at any time, sent cargo at any time."
"In the context of the upcoming seasonal peak in the export of vegetables and fruits from China, the customs of Manchuria airport conducted a corresponding study and now informs exporters about possible trade risks, advising them on how to avoid them. In addition, customs has strengthened control over the quality of products," noted Li Chunmin, the head of the general operations department of the Manchuria customs.
