The Spanish Kaki Association, in collaboration with Mediterranean Combo, a campaign co-financed by the European Union, is carrying out a campaign to increase the consumption of European fruits in the EU internal market. In order to raise awareness of Spanish kaki among citizens, the campaign has reached 6 municipal markets in Madrid and 4 in Valencia.
The association will be present in the markets of La Paz, Chamartín, Las Ventas, Santa María de la Cabeza, San Enrique, and Tirso De Molina -in Madrid-, and in the markets of Ruzafa, Cabañal, Algirós, Rojas Clemente, and Jerusalem -in Valencia- from Monday, November 20 to Friday, December 1, 2023 distributing kaki samples to all visitors. The campaign has been enthusiastically received by local residents, who have shown great interest in trying Spanish kaki and learning more about this fruit.
With this action, the Spanish Kaki Association hopes to boost the consumption of this fruit in the local market and to help strengthen the presence of European fruits and vegetables in the food landscape of the European Union.
