“We continue to grow with the acquisition of Prim Select on the MIN of Toulouse”

Two years after the merger of PSD and AGRUBAN at the MIN of Rungis, and the merger of Montfort et Fils and Charpentier Primeurs at the MIN of Nantes, the MGD Group announces the acquisition of Prim Select in Toulouse.

Prim Select, an emblematic family business of the Grand Marché MIN Toulouse Occitanie, was formed from the merger of Fredfruit and Europrim, and specializes in products from the Mediterranean basin and the Occitania region. This acquisition will enable the group to consolidate its sources of supply and move even closer to its production in France and Europe.

The transaction marks a crucial step in the group's national expansion, in line with its initial strategy. "The group's objective is to find synergies in terms of purchasing by positioning itself close to production zones, within dynamic national markets. We already ship produce from Nantes and Brittany, and now Prim Select gives us access to fruit and vegetables from the Mediterranean basin and Occitania. This enables us to offer a more diversified range to our clients, and to source more produce."

This acquisition marks an important chapter in the group's history and Arnaud Morinet is determined to keep up the momentum. "Today, the group's consolidated sales now stand at 70 million euros [75 million USD], with the aim of exceeding 100 million euros [106 million USD] within three years."

These development goals are in line with the company's determination to remain an independent group. "The group was created in 2001 and today, there is no capital other than myself and my wife. That is the originality of our group in this sector. Despite our growth, we remain 100% independent and family-owned. This enables us to be highly responsive in our decision-making."
