Fresh Select Rungis, present in the Rungis market, works exclusively with products of Portuguese origin. "We are based in Portugal to be as close as possible to the farmers and to check the quality of the produce directly in the fields. We have just received grelos, a broccoli root harvested before flowering, and Penca cabbage or Portuguese cabbage, which are generally eaten in large quantities during the festive season," explains Regis Dekeyser, category manager at Fresh Select Rungis.
In addition to these two references, the company markets a whole range of vegetables, including its flagship products: pointed cabbage, butternut, pumpkin, oranges, and clementines.
"During the festive season, consumption of these fruits and vegetables slows down, as people are more interested in festive products. But in general, Portuguese products are increasingly in demand in the French market. We have been observing an increase in volumes every year, but this is directly linked to the vigilance of our farmers in terms of product quality."
