MSC launches Almería-Valencia container line

The Mediterranean Shipping Company (MSC) has signed an agreement with Spanish company Cosentino Group to launch a regular container line linking the ports of Almería and Valencia.

The line was launched with the arrival of the first ship of MSC to the port facilities of Almería. The agreement reached with MSC complements the contract sealed earlier this year by MSC with Maersk, with the aim of covering the growing demand of Cosentino.

The new achievement represents an important window of opportunity for companies in Almería and other parts of Andalusia, especially for those located in the provinces of Jaén and Granada.

With the entry of MSC in the port of Almería, companies from other sectors, such as the auxiliary industry of agriculture, agricultural products, or minerals and construction and industrial materials, will have more options to embark and disembark their cargo.
