A clear victory on points: In four out of six national categories, EDEKA stores were at the top of the podium at the presentation of the German Fruit Awards 2019 in Baden-Baden. The first place went to EDEKA Zielke from Viersen-Dülken (category supermarket), EDEKA Baisch from Stuttgart (small supermarket), EDEKA center Wehrmann from Herford (consumer market) and the EDEKA center BraWo-Park from Braunschweig (special prize nutrition education for children).
As national winner, EDEKA Ueltzhöfer from Heilbronn and the EDEKA center Brehm from Berlin completed the field, underlining EDEKA's nationwide fruit and vegetable expertise. The German Fruit Awards have 
now been advertised for 23 years by the renowned magazines Rundschau für den Lebensmittelhandel and Fruchthandel Magazin. The top-class expert jury evaluates the participants on the basis of a comprehensive list of criteria and in unannounced store checks.
