British farmers grow pumpkin that weighs 1.1 ton

A British farmer in Hampshire took a picture with his 2-year old granddaughter Martha Syrett, and their enormous pumpkin. The 59-year old twin brothers Stuart and Ian Patton spent nearly 6 hours every day on this huge pumpkin. The pumpkin currently weighs 1,198 kg and is expected to set a new world record.

The twins explained that the pumpkin weighed over one ton after only 87 days. The circumference is around 6.04 meters. These two farmers already hold the record for largest pumpkin grown in the United Kingdom. Last year they produced a no. 2436 pumpkin that weighed 1,104.95 kg.
