Gladiator, the melon that bewitched chef Martin Berasategui

The Piel de Sapo Gladiator melon from the Murcian company Gladiator Fruit Lovers has conquered the heart of Martin Berasategui, a 12-Michelin star chef that is considered the best chef in Spanish gastronomy, who has decided to include this exclusive fruit in the menu of his most emblematic restaurant in Lasarte (Guipuzcoa).

Berasategui created a Gladiator melon gin and tonic dessert with cucumber, apple, and mint that will delight diners who visit his restaurant.

Gladiator Fruit Lovers' production is synonymous with exclusivity and quality; a view that is shared by the end customers. The company's business volume has doubled to 7,000 tons, and they have expanded their facilities by 3,000 m². The brand produces its own melons and broccoli throughout the year and is present in more than 17 countries, such as Greece, Germany, Romania, Poland, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates.

The collaboration between the Murcian company and Martin Berasategui is open to more products, thanks to the quality offered by Gladiator Fruit Lovers. Their production in Murcia, Castilla-La Mancha, and Brazil meets the high levels of quality required by the Basque chef, who is the brand's gastronomic advisor. Gladiator defines each product format according to the target market, which guarantees the quality of the melon and a suitable presentation for each area.
