The Italian company La Grande Bellezza Italiana is investing also in brassicas. There are more than 100 hectares in Apulia, including cauliflower and broccoli, cultivated in collaboration with some specialized producers. "We decided to invest together with the growers so that even the risks would be shared. Thanks to a good planning, the cauliflower season, which is coming to an end, has been satisfying and the prices have been good. And now we still have one more month to market broccoli, another much-appreciated item, with prices able to remunerate production, thanks to our brand policy," explained the president Antonio Cipriani.
The packaging of La Grande Bellezza Italiana (LGBI) has proved to be an excellent business card. Several large-scale retail chains are seeing an increase in purchases of brassicas under this brand. "Obviously, the packaging has an impact, but purchases are also repeated because the consumer notices the high quality of the product. It's all about being well organized and ensuring that the fruit and vegetables, in this case the brassicas, are delivered from the field to the large-scale retail trade in the shortest time possible".
Day after day, LGBI's brand policy is gaining support. "It's hard but steady work. Our network of companies has existed for only a few years now, but each entrepreneur has a long-term experience. We have pooled our peculiarities and strengths, creating a precise and diversified system for each reference".
"La Grande Bellezza Italiana is a network that, through its producers, stands out on the market with well-processed and packaged fruit and vegetables, characterized by high quality standards according to the disciplinary standards," said Leonardo Odorizzi.
