Republic of Georgia exports 14% more blueberries YoY in May-June

Georgia exported 376 tons of blueberries from May 1 to June 29; this is an increase of 14 per cent compared to the same period of 2020, the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment Protection reports. Earnings from these exports amounted to $2.5 million.

Main export destinations for Georgian blueberries were:

  • Russia – 363 tons
  • United Arab Emirates – 8.3 tons
  • Armenia – 2 tons
  • Qatar – 1.5 tons
  • Moldova – 0.9 tons 

As reported on agenda.ge¸ the export price of Georgian blueberries has increased by 10 per cent and is $6.5 per kilogram.
