Life Soup presents new fresh-cut soups in glass jars

Life Soup is the new concept of fresh soups developed by the Agroama cooperative, which specializes in the production of innovative fresh-cut products. The soups are nice to look at and good to eat, so much so that they have been awarded multiple times also thanks to the fact they provide consumers with the chance of eating something fresh and genuine in any situation.

"Innovation has always been our main asset, supported by a wealth of ideas that we turn into distinctive products also thanks to the observation of market trends. This is how we have come up with our kit of high-quality fresh vegetables, very inviting thanks to a pack made up of a glass jar, a practical place mat, cutlery and condiments that work perfectly well with the product's claim: Mangia dove vuoi, ma mangia bene (Eat where you want, but eat well)," reported Cristiano Pallavicino, president of the Agroama cooperative.

Cooperativa agricola Agroama is located in the Agro Pontino area and is a modern processing facility that holds the GlobalGAP certification. It is part of OP Agrinsieme, which gathers various members covering around 100 hectares in total.

The product assortment includes over 50 products: salad mixes, cut salads and ready-to-cook vegetables. The new fresh-cut line launched in 2020 consists of glass jars showcasing the vegetables they contain - processed within 24 hours - and thus no image showing the product as it should be (see for yourself).

Chopped fresh vegetables in a transparent glass jar. Nothing else. A simple yet innovative idea that makes it possible to enjoy a fresh healthy soup in little time. Life Soup is the new Bontà Verde Agroama product available in five versions.

"The packaging is sustainable, meaning it is fully recyclable as the jar is made of glass, the capsule is aluminum and the case is made of cardboard. This solution has won the #food category prize during the fifth edition of the ADI Design Index Packaging Design Award at Marca 2020 in Bologna."

Glass jars contain five different soup recipes: four are seasonal while the fifth, called Arcobaleno, is available all year round. You just need to add a glass of water and cook it for 8 minutes in a pot or in the microwave, so you can enjoy the soup directly from the jar.

The Orange soup, for example, contains: carrot, white cauliflower, broccoli, squash, Savoy cabbage and celery. These soups are not just practical and representative of the short chain, they also promote the concept of sustainability of the food, environment and Mediterranean diet. Farm-to-table food systems are in fact closely linked with the environment, as accredited research say the contribute to up to 37% of global greenhouse gas emissions.

"The fresh-cut segment uses technology and innovation together with the capability of interpreting consumer needs in an ever-changing world. However, we are still closely linked with the territory, high-quality productions and sustainable crops that respect the environment and, most of all, we care about the health of consumers. For us, change does not just mean growing new products, but working the same products without distorting them. Nowadays, the real innovation aims at promoting traditional values making them contemporary/innovating them: this is where the idea for Life Soup comes from," explained Cristiano Pallavicino.

"We aim at changing the way soups are perceived - ours is a soup with no secrets, the ingredients are fully visible and there are no surprises, as cooking them in the jar maintains their organoleptic qualities, colors and flavors unaltered."
