The first freshly harvested Calypso® mangoes will be available nationally at all major supermarkets from this week.
“We’re thrilled to launch the 2022 Calypso® Mango season,” says Michael Simonetta, CEO of Perfection Fresh. “Many Aussies are doing it tough with this long La Niña weather event, and they deserve an uplifting taste of summer. Our growers have kept the Calypso® Mangoes on the trees for longer so they develop their famous sweetness, flavour and size. Calypso® lovers will be in for an absolute mango treat.”
During the October to February season, Aussie growers will harvest approximately 30 million Calypso Mangoes across more than 5,000 km. Calypso Mango growers, packers, and fruit transportation specialists are geared up to meet exceptional demand over Christmas and summer.
