The Ministry of Trade and Integration has developed new mechanisms for stabilizing prices during the off-season. "The key changes concern the use of the mechanism of the revolving scheme for the purchase of early vegetables," First Vice-Minister Arman Shakkaliev said during the meeting.
The Ministry of Trade has already clearly set the targets - these are Pakistan, Uzbekistan, and Tajikistan, and also determined the stabilization period, and the participants in the turnover scheme, which included large and regional networks and volumes.
The Ministry of Trade has practically provided a “green corridor” for the delivery of early vegetables and has worked out control of marginal prices and an audit of supply chains. This will smooth out sharp fluctuations in prices during the off-season, and from May to June, fresh crops will be available at retail at prices lower than in the same period last year.
